  • This is some constructive Feedback about the map Foundation: it's Playerspawns, Pickup placement and the Armor-System


    In the current Wasabi-Version of the Game, players are forced to follow a certain pattern to to pick up the MH (Megahealth), YA (50 Armor) and RA (100 Armor). This actually means that two decent skilled players who are playing a DUEL on the map Foundation, will both run the same monotone way in order to be able to take the Pickups. Also our current Armor-System is one fact that leads to this problem. If you take a look even during Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch, most of the players are following this one rather monotone pattern to pick up Weapons and Pickups. But wehn it comes to a competetive duel match, a DUEL should never be monotone. It should be a good mix of everything, in order to make it work and keep the match exiting.


    Lucky Spawns:
    The map: Foundation has a lot of spawnpoints which can be considered as Lucky-Spawns. Thee are a few Luckyspawn at the MH-Area, at the YA-Area and also at the Cerberus-Area. Some of those lucky spawns are extreme:

    A) You Spawn near the Cerberus, pick it up and than perform an evelator jump up to RA, pick it up, dodge to the Stingray, walk and Dodge to the Violator + MH Area. This spawn grants easy Access to: Cerberus, RA, Stingray, Violator and MH
    B) You spawn at the MH-Area, pick it up. Pick the Violator, fall down the Evelator, pick the Dragoneer, double dodge in the YA than run and doge up the Staircase to the Stingray-Area, pick the Stingray, perform a decent rocket jump at the bilboard and pick the RA. Grants acess to: MH, Violator, Dragoneer, YA, Stingray. The RA and Cerberus is also in near to pick up




    Fixing the Issues

    1) Armor-System:
    Make RA and the YA stacking so that Players can reach 150 Armor. If a player has over 150 Armor the player is forced to pick up Armor Shards for a hiher Armor Value. If the player has 150 Armor and wants to pick up the RA, the players now needs to self damage in order to pick the RA up. The YA should grant 50 Armor 50% Protection and the RA should grant 100 Armor and the Player 75% Protection. This Should be done in order to make players benefit from the Armoor Pickups, Quake, Painkiller and Warsow have those Armor-Systems and they work really good. (Also a Helmet could be added that prevents the player form a single Headshot)


    2) Players-Spawns
    Replace the hefty Lucky-Spawns on the map Foundation, with different spawn locations


    3)Rebalancing the Item/Weapon Pickups
    Place the items so around the map that, the player is forced to run around the map. Pickups (RA,YA,MH) should be placed in interesting but also crowde d loctions. I would suggest to change the Pickups at the MH-Area. To perfom the switch, replace the Falcon with the MH and take out the Violator from the old (current) MH Area and replace the Violator with 2 Health Packs. To re-add the Violator in a better place, where its much more usefull and effectiv, add the Violator in that Area, where currently the 2nd Stingray is located. (The room with the staircase down to the cerberus and the tunnel to the old (current) Falcon. Remove the Center-Pillar from the YA-Room and place the YA in the center of the YA-Room with the waterfloor.


    Conclusion:
    With this rather huge change, the upper MH would be in a hefty crowded spot, where it can be picked up from all sides. Players can slope dodge up to the MH, they can use the Jump-Pad and also the Tunnel which leads to the MH. Players who are picking up the MH would now be in a high risk Area as you are an easier target on that spot. With the Falcon placed in the old MH Area, the Falcon would now be placed in good, but also mean spot, which actualy allows to defend the spot with the Sniper. Due to the fact that the Room is accessable from many sides, this means that you have a potential chance to take down the one sniping. With taking out the center pillar from the YA-Room and placing the YA in the middle of the Room, the players would have more room to fight for the YA. To make picking up the YA, slightly harder, the YA could be placed on a smaller plattform where the players have to use a double jump in oder to pick it up, With the Amor System change players are now free to find their own pattern for the pickups and are also free to pick up the YA, RA situational.

  • need no armor/ health pickup mutator.
    only drop health-pickup on kill. would make the game faster and increases action.


    you should win a game by killing like a monster, not by stacking armor + hp...

    mutators in fps started the way for successful game-modes besides the main fps...

    instagib, akimbo etc.
