Instagib is short for...

  • So...uh, instagib is short for instant giblets, right? So why are we all not exploding into glorious meat chunks when shot in instagib? Where's the fun in good ole arena shooters without some gore?(yes, of course I have it turned on)

    Seriously though, it works if you shoot them after they die...what's with that? :\

  • The main reason this was avoided is because when you are gibbed, your camera flies away rotating, and that makes you sick after 3 death.
    Then I thought the body overlay upon kill looked cool and goes well with the beam itself.

    However if it is a highly requested feature (and you're not the first one iirc) I'm sure this can be worked on, to put the gibbing back and avoid the camera issue...

  • Thanks for letting me know, I figured it might have been talked about before. Did a quick search to see(was getting late though), but came up with nothing it seemed before posting. Anyways I do understand, I think UT3 had the same problem of head spinning/bouncing around. Again thanks for the info.

    Yeah, never liked that myself. One fix I could suggest for this is to make the death cam 3rd-person.

  • Yep change death cam to 3rd person upon being Gibed would be nice almost like a "Replay" of being killed just have your body parts explode everywhere ^.^
